Steve Knowlton is the Librarian for (United States) History and African American Studies at Princeton University's Firestone Library. He has a BA in history from the University of Michigan and an MLIS from Wayne State University. He also has an MA in history from the University of Memphis. His interests include African American history and southern U.S. history (with a focus on Memphis), the history of libraries, and vexillology (the study of flags). He has also published research in the field of library science.
One of my primary responsibilities is to help students and faculty find data and resources for their research. I also purchase resources for the Library in all areas related to American history and African American studies. Please contact me with purchase suggestions or to request assistance with a JP, senior thesis, dissertation, faculty research, or other scholarly project.
